Something that I believed as a child

When I was a child I played baseball, and I was pretty good. I believed that I could easily go pro if I wanted to because I played. I thought that if I really wanted to I could just do it, and not have to work for it. Today we read a poem about dreams and filled out a plan sheet for our own dreams. Today's lesson was great I really liked thinking about how my dream can play out.

September 25

I was not there on the day they read Troys conversation so I do not know what was said.

sep22

I was judged unfairly one of the last years I played baseball. I got benched the first game because my coach had never seen me play before. I played the next game and hit a home run and a double. I started for the rest of the season. Today we worked on common lit, I liked it, it was chill.

Story Map

Sullivans storymap stood out the most to me today because of how much he has to offer. I like how he does many different things. Today we listened to Story Map presentations, I liked today's lesson.

Homecoming Sept 12th

I love being in touch with so many different people at lakeside. I feel like this community gives an opportunity to meet so many different people. I show off school spirit by trying to go to all the sports events especially the football games. My favorite homecoming tradition is Jersey day.

Gender roles in affairs.

I don't think gender roles really give an excuse to have an affair when you are married. I can see how she didn't like her gender roles and that made her feel the need to have an affair. Such as being tired of only taking care of the kids.

Which work do I like Sept 9th

I like the worksheets the most, it gives me a better understanding of what we are learning. The worksheets with the class discussions help me the most because I am engaged with the topic. It help build a understanding for why we are learning what we are learning.

Gender roles Sept 8th

The most challenging gender role to navigate in my culture is how to stand strong as a young child. We are taught to be tough and never let anything bother us. At first it is hard because as a child you can be filled with emotion, but over time it gets easier and easier.

sep 16th

When I went to Puerto Rico over the summer I learned a lot about the locals. My buddy Noah and I had many long talks with locals about the economy of Puerto Rico and places there to avoid and places to go see. It was always beautiful engagements with these people, and before going there I had no idea how life was like there. Today we worked on common lit.

Offensive word

My freshman year one of my Lacrosse coaches called me a redneck. I did not like the fact that he called me that because it made me feel like he thought I was dumb. Today we worked on a poem, I liked today's lesson.

Atlantas impact on me

I think metro Atlanta helped me grow great relationships and grow into a man. Moving to Atlanta shaped me to be more social with all different types of people. I plan to move away thought because I want to live in Florida. Today we worked on our story board. I liked todays lesson.

A time I challenged my parents rules.

One time I challenged my parents rules of treating my sister with respect. It did not turn out well for me, because I got in a lot of trouble. After that I did not ever challenge that rule again. Today we read a text and filled out a paper reflecting on our lives. I liked today's lesson.

How has MC Lit been?

The class has been very good so far. It seems pretty laid back which I like because it is my senior year and I want it to be very minimal. Today we worked on vocabulary. Todays lesson was good.
