 Patriarchy has influenced how I was raised and my identity. It shapes the way I respect people in different ways. Today we started our cultural identity mask. Today is a good day.

 If I were Celie after finding out about the letters, I would confront Mr._. I would think that he think I am worth nothing, because he doesn't think I should be able to see a letter from my sister.
